Easton is now 9 months old and over the past couple of months he is now crawling, pulling himself up on things, walking while holding onto objects, standing by himself, and talking. He will now say DaDa, MaMa, UH-OH, BaBa, ball, bye bye, dance, and every once in a while PaPa, and of course a bunch of jibberish language. He is pretty good at trying to mimic what we are saying. It seems like Wylie and him are having conversations with one another every once in a while. I don't know what it is that they are talking about, but it is fun to watch and guess. Easton is ALWAYS smiling and happy! Although he was somewhat of a tough baby, that never stopped him from smiling. His laugh is contagious! Now that he can crawl he follows his big sister around everywhere. He always wants to be around her, doing what she is doing, and playing with what she is playing with. Luckily Wylie doesn't mind too much, to an extent of course. He now has four 4 teeth, two on top and two on bottom. Within a week the poor kid got an ear infection, a cold, he had thrush, and he was teething. It was a rough week, but he was still as sweet as usual through it all. After he was feeling better we decided to try and get him to take a bottle. Ever since he was 4 months old he has NOT wanted to take a bottle. Over the last couple of weeks though we have finally weaned him to a bottle. It has been a relief for mom. :-)
Easton is also quite the little dancer. It is so adorable to watch him dance. As soon as music comes on, or you even say the word dance, he starts bouncing up and down and waving his arms in the air. Of course all of this with a HUGE smile on his face.
This little guy is quite mischievous though. I can't turn my head for one second without him getting into something. If he isn't opening a cupboard and pulling everything in it out, he is pulling things off the table, throwing things, or trying to eat something he has found.
Wylie will be 2 next month and I can't believe how fast the time has gone by. My little girl is growing up! :-) She is such a joy! She has taken to being a big sister so well. She is always looking after her little brother. She knows what Easton is and isn't supposed to do and when he is doing something he isn't supposed to be doing I always hear... "Easton, No No No!!" It is so adorable! She is very good to involve her brother.
We have discovered that Wylie's favorite color is Yellow. Every time I offer her a choice in color she always asks for yellow. Nail polish, balls, colored pencils, flowers.... yellow, yellow, yellow. :-) Wylie has such a great personality and the girl is so stinking smart! She loves to read and she can count to 20... although she still will skip 4, and all of the teens sound the exact same, but for a 2 year old... WOW! She loves to dance, sing, and play. She loves to do puzzles and stack her legos as high as she can and then knock them all over, usually on top of her brother's head. :-)
Wylie is constantly making us laugh. She communicates VERY well and now that she is hitting her terrible two's she is learning how to put us in our place. ha ha She loves to put our words back into our faces. You truly see what kind of a parent you are through your children. When we do something that she doesn't think we should, she turns to us and uses things like "Don't touch," "Share," and my favorite "Alright, we're going to timeout!" :-) Even though I should be a little upset, I can't help but laugh when she throws those lines at me. Ever once in a while the poor stuffed animals even get sent to timeout. ha ha It is fun to watch her grow, and test her boundaries.
Both of the kids are growing up so fast. I am enjoying each moment with both of them, and I look forward to the future memories... I just hope they don't all come too fast.
