While my parents were here we enjoyed playing with them. We went to the opening day of the Arizona Diamondbacks baseball Game one of the nights. I was a little bit worried that the kids would have a hard time sitting through an entire game, but they did really well and seemed to really enjoy watching the game. Wylie especially loved Baxter, the Diamondbacks mascot. Every time he came out she started laughing and getting all excited. Easton loved to watch the ball. Any time the ball was thrown or hit he would point his tiny little finger in the direction of the ball and say "Bawl!!" They were loving it.
On another night while my parents were in town we decided to go to the Easter Pageant. The Easter Pageant is put on at the Mesa Temple and it is a "play" of the Saviors life, Crucifixion, and Resurrection. It is put on by a lot of volunteers, and it is so beautifully done. Easton slept through a fair amount of the play, but Wylie was awake and loved the entire thing. She loved it when Jesus would speak, and when the Angels stood on top of the building and would sing. It made me realize, no wonder our Savior tells us to become like a little child. They are so innocent and pure, and loving of all things. They KNOW our Savior and love him. It was so enjoyable to be able to see my daughter's excitement of seeing the "Savior" It was a beautiful production, and I am so glad that we got to see it.
The Saturday before Easter our ward had a breakfast/Easter Egg Hunt for the little kids we all went to. Both Easton and Wylie loved doing the Easter Egg Hunt, and did a pretty good job of it too. I didn't know how Easton would end up doing, but he got right in there and started putting as many Eggs and he could possibly find into his basket. Afterwards both the kids sat down, Wylie wanted to open all of her Eggs and see what was inside whereas Easton just wanted to take all the eggs out of his basket, and put them all back into his basket. It was a long process, but they both seemed to really enjoy it.
That night we of course had to color Easter Eggs. Wylie loved coloring eggs with Daddy, Nana and Papa. Easton enjoyed just watching and occasionally playing with an egg or two. We all decorated our eggs in all kids of fun colors and wrote fun things on our eggs. Easton and mine I believe were the best though. Check it out.....
YEP.............. WE'RE PREGNANT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We are so excited to have another little angel coming into our family. We are due in October! This is how we told all of our family that we were expecting again.
Anyways, we spent the rest of the night coloring eggs, and the next morning the kids saw all the fun things the Easter Bunny left them for Easter, we went to sacrament meeting, and Papa and Nana left to head back to Utah to spend Easter with Hillarie and C.G.
It was so much fun having Nana and Papa here. They are such a blessing in our lives, we are truly grateful for them.
